Experience Dr Owen Hee is an experienced ophthalmologist and eye surgeon practicing at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. He has over 15 years of experience in treating a wide range of eye conditions. Dr. Owen specialises in cataract surgery and is a fellowship-trained glaucoma specialist. He is highly skilled in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS). He also has strong expertise in correcting vision problems such as presbyopia, short-sightedness (myopia), and astigmatism using advanced premium intraocular lenses during cataract surgery. In addition to cataract and glaucoma care, Dr. Owen provides comprehensive eye treatment. His clinical work includes managing retinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, as well as myopia control, corneal disorders, eye infections, and eye injuries. Before starting his private practice, Dr. Owen worked as a Senior Consultant at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. In 2011, Dr. Owen received a scholarship from Tan Tock Seng Hospital to pursue further postgraduate training in London. As a Quality Review Officer at the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute, he was responsible for monitoring and improving the quality and safety of eye care services across the institute.

Experience Dr Daphne Han is an experienced ophthalmologist and eye surgeon practicing at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore. She has more than 18 years of specialist experience and treats patients of all ages. Her areas of care include cataract, myopia, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Han specialises in vision correction using advanced cataract and lens implant surgery as well as laser eye surgery. Her key expertise includes micro-incision cataract surgery, laser-assisted cataract procedures, implantable contact lenses, and iris implant surgery. She previously worked as a Consultant and faculty member at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Before joining the Singapore Medical Specialists Centre as a Senior Eye Surgeon, she also led the SMG Vision Centre at Gleneagles Hospital. Dr. Han is widely recognised for her expertise in ophthalmology and is frequently invited to speak at conferences, write and review medical articles, and educate other eye specialists. She also actively volunteers in ophthalmology medical missions in Singapore and overseas.

Experience Dr Clarissa Cheng is an experienced ophthalmologist practicing at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. She has over 15 years of medical experience and provides both specialised and general eye care. Her clinical expertise includes complex cataract surgery, retinal detachment repair, treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular hole surgery, epiretinal membrane peel, retinal laser treatments, and intravitreal injections. She also manages myopic degeneration and common eye conditions such as pterygium, glaucoma, dry eyes, and blepharitis. Dr. Cheng previously worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and currently continues her work there as a Visiting Consultant. During her time at TTSH, she set up a nurse-led intravitreal injection service to improve patient care efficiency. She completed her undergraduate medical education at St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She later obtained her Master’s degree in Ophthalmology from the National University of Singapore. Dr. Cheng is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the United Kingdom and the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She received the Health Manpower Development Plan Award and completed advanced retina fellowship training at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital in the UK. Her training covered small-incision vitrectomy surgery, complex retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration, and eye trauma. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Cheng is actively involved in teaching and research. She serves as a Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. She has presented her work at many international conferences and published in leading peer-reviewed medical journals. She is also a recipient of the 10-Year Long Service Award from Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
