Dr. Panagiotis Kaloyannidis is a highly experienced Specialist Hematologist at Burjeel Medical City, working within the Adult Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Department. His extensive hands-on experience places him among the most seasoned transplant hematologists in the field. Between 2012 and 2013, he received advanced training in cellular therapies, including CAR T-cell therapy and virus-specific T-cell therapies for post-transplant viral infections and disease relapse. His clinical expertise also includes the management of complex post-transplant complications, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), infections, and relapsed hematologic malignancies. Prior to joining Burjeel Medical City, Dr. Kaloyannidis served as a Senior Consultant Hematologist at the G. Papanicolaou General Hospital in Thessaloniki, Greece (1998–2014), and later at King Fahad Specialist Hospital–Dammam, Saudi Arabia (2014–2023). He is an active member of several leading professional organizations, including the Hellenic Society of Hematology, the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), and the Saudi Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (SSBMT).
