Dr. Chng completed his advanced surgical training at the Singapore National Eye Centre, where he worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in cataract and LASIK services. He established a Wet Laboratory Training Facility and trained many young eye doctors in microsurgery and cataract surgery. He has also delivered instructional lectures at major international eye surgery conferences in the United States and Europe. He has received the Best Research Paper Award at the Singapore-Malaysia Ophthalmology Meeting and presented research on multifocal and aspheric lenses at leading global ophthalmology conferences. In 2009, Dr. Chng joined Eagle Eye Centre as the Director of Aesthetic and Comprehensive Ophthalmic Surgeries.
