Op. Dr. Faruk Gençoğlu is an experienced Cardiovascular and Heart Surgeon with a strong academic and clinical background in adult heart and vascular diseases. He began his medical career at Samsun 19 Mayıs University and joined the academic staff of the Istanbul Cerrahpaşa Cardiology Institute in 2015. He completed his specialization in cardiovascular surgery in 2020. During his training and early professional years, Dr. Gençoğlu actively took part in approximately 3,000 surgical cases, gaining extensive experience in complex adult cardiac and vascular surgeries. His clinical work includes coronary artery disease, heart valve disorders (aortic, mitral, and tricuspid), aortic surgery, carotid surgery, peripheral vascular diseases, venous insufficiency (varicose veins), and deep vein thrombosis. In 2021, he played a key role in re-establishing cardiac surgery services at Batman Education and Research Hospital, where he served as Chief of the Open-Heart Surgery Clinic for two years. In 2023, he briefly worked at Istanbul Çam and Sakura City Hospital before continuing his practice at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital, where he currently serves patients in the Heart and Vascular Surgery Department.
