Prof. Amit Segev is a distinguished Interventional Cardiologist with extensive expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization. His clinical and research interests cover a wide spectrum, including: Coronary heart disease – evaluation and treatment using advanced cardiac catheterization techniques, with pioneering work in wrist-access catheterization. Carotid artery stenosis – specialized catheter-based interventions. Heart valve disease – comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, and expertise in transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI). Pulmonary hypertension – recognized pioneer in treating chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) and acute pulmonary embolism. Prof. Segev previously served as Director of Cardiac Catheterization Services at Sheba Medical Center, where he advanced numerous interventional techniques. He has authored over 160 peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals. His professional expertise includes coronary intervention, structural heart interventions, hemodynamics, pulmonary embolism, CTEPH, and carotid interventions. Prof. Segev is also a highly sought-after speaker, serving as a faculty member at major global cardiology congresses such as ESC, ACC, TCT, EuroPCR, AHA, and ICI, with more than 80 invited lectures worldwide. He is an active member of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
