Prof. Alessandro Castagna is a leading orthopedic surgeon specialized in shoulder surgery, with over twenty years of exclusive experience in this field. He performs approximately 800 shoulder surgeries per year, covering both arthroscopic and open techniques. He completed his specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Milan and later earned a specialization in Sports Medicine from the University of Brescia. Prof. Castagna refined his expertise in arthroscopic shoulder surgery at the world-renowned Southern California Orthopaedic Institute (SCOI) under Prof. Stephen J. Snyder. He also trained in open shoulder surgery under Prof. Mario Randelli in Milan. Today, his clinical, surgical, and research activity is entirely focused on shoulder disorders and their advanced treatment.
