Florence Nightingale Hospitals
Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital is the first “Green Hospital Building” in Turkey, certified by TÜV Hessen Green Building. The hospital is built as a smart hospital, designed for efficiency, sustainability, and advanced medical care. A heliport on the roof accommodates all types of air ambulance helicopters, ensuring rapid emergency access. Facilities and Capacity The hospital has 251 patient beds, 41 intensive care beds, and 11 operating rooms, all equipped with laminar air flow technology. It also includes 2 delivery rooms and operating rooms that can be connected to a 300-person conference hall or international centers via audiovisual systems. This setup allows for interactive medical education and scientific collaboration on a global scale. International Healthcare Expertise The hospital was founded on three pillars: medical staff, technological equipment, and infrastructure. It serves not only Istanbul and Turkey but also international patients, especially from the Middle East, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and neighboring regions. Doctors can share radiology results in real-time with specialists worldwide, enabling patients to receive second opinions before treatment. This system also helps international patients get preliminary consultations before traveling to Turkey. Advanced Technology Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital introduced the EOS imaging system, the first of its kind in Turkey. This device uses very low-dose 2D and 3D X-rays for orthopedic imaging, reducing radiation risks while producing precise skeletal anatomy images. Centers of Excellence The hospital is organized to provide services across all medical specialties. It has achieved Center of Excellence status in several areas of care, reflecting its commitment to high-quality treatment and innovation. JCI Accreditation On August 22, 2013, the hospital earned Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. Since then, it has successfully renewed this certification every three years, proving its dedication to international healthcare standards.
