PROF. DR. GÜRSEL SAKA, M.D.

Prof. Dr. Gürsel Saka is a highly respected Orthopedics and Traumatology specialist with extensive experience in complex musculoskeletal surgery. He completed his medical education at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine and went on to receive his specialization training at Health Sciences University Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital, one of Turkey’s leading training institutions. Throughout his career, Prof. Dr. Saka has developed particular expertise in spine surgery, trauma surgery, and arthroplasty, with a strong focus on treating complex and high-risk cases. He is especially well known for his successful work in pelvis and acetabulum surgery, an area that requires advanced surgical skill and precision. In 2014, Prof. Dr. Saka gained national recognition as a finalist in the TÜBİTAK XI Technology Awards for his innovative project on the development of an intramedullary (canal-in) locked nail designed specifically for the anatomical structure of forearm bones (radius and ulna). This achievement reflects his commitment not only to clinical excellence but also to surgical innovation and research. He currently continues his clinical practice at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital, where he serves patients in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department.
