Vivantes Hospitals Group was established in 2001. The hospital group includes 10 hospitals, rehabilitation centers, 40 centers of excellence, primary health care facilities, 12 nursing facilities and other outpatient and inpatient medical facilities in Berlin with approximately 100 medical departments and facilities. The hospital group has a bed capacity of approximately 6,000 and over 17,000 employees, including 2,300 doctors. According to the company, it is the largest public hospital group in Berlin, providing hospital care to about a third of the city's patients seeking inpatient care.
